O Death's odl bony finger
Will never find us there
In the high hollow townland
Where love's to give and spare;
Where boughs have fruit and blossom
At all times of the year;
Where rivers run over
With red beer and brown beer.
An old man plays tthe bagpipes
In a gold and silver wood;
Queens, their eyes blue like the ice,
Are dancing in a crowd.

William Butler Yeats

Oh, el viejo y huesudo dedo de la Muerte
nunca nos encontrará allí,
en la ciudad alta y deshabitada
donde el amor es dar y respetar;
donde los árboles ofrecen flor y fruto
todas las estaciones del año;
donde los ríos desbordan
de cerveza rubia y roja.
Un anciano toca la gaita
en un bosque de oro y plata;
las reinas, de ojos azules como el hielo,
bailan entre la multitud.
